Heal yourself, share your story and help others

“The wisdom of your journey and all you’ve overcome is a light of hope to someone in the midst of their own storm. Nothing is wasted.”

~ @apeaceofwerk

Sharing your truth

Vulnerability will lead to deep and meaningful connections that will help you thrive in life. Be careful who you share things with though, some people are just curious and will use your experiences against you whilst others will actually care and provide new insights for growth, learning and healing. God will help you decide what is appropriate to share with whom by allowing you to follow your intuition. Being aware of this, allows you to share your story in a way you feel comfortable with, in the hope that someone else can take a step towards acceptance and peace in less time and effort than it has taken you.

You have the power to create the life and mindset you want but you can’t manifest it without embarking on an inner journey, facing your pain and unlearning all the things that have been conditioned which don’t align with your purpose and truth. It’s the toughest yet most rewarding battle you will face, for it will lead you to the lessons that need to be learned in order to activate the blessings that are destined for you.⠀

Go to God with your desires and requests, whether it be worldly or spiritual, do all that you can do and then surrender the outcome of your life to Him. He will always do what is best for you, after all, He holds the blueprint for your life. Learning how to surrender is such a difficult yet worthwhile ongoing process. It leads to awakening which brings blessings and lessons into your life that cannot enter in any other way, taking you to the most amazing places you could never reach alone. ⠀

It’s ok to fall, you need that to build resilience. It’s ok to be lost, you need that to find direction. It’s ok to feel alone, you need that to hear your inner voice. In fact, it’s in those moments when you fall, get lost and are alone that you get to meet God in all His glory. That’s when you learn to appreciate your present blessings which activate your future ones. That’s when you are able to connect to the infinite source within you, without any distractions, to shine a light on the path ahead. That’s when you get to spend quality time with the only one that will ever truly understand you and knows you better than you know yourself.

My personal journey

The Lord, the Inner knower, the Searcher of hearts, knows all about my state of mind; so who else should I go to and speak to?

Gurbani has healed me in ways that I could never of imagined. Every time I get an invite to Maharaj’s sanctuary, I sit there in awe absorbing the powerful energy and vibration of the darshan of Guru Granth Sahib Ji amidst sangat. It’s like I’ve been gifted a new lens to view life and the world with whilst constructing an ideal home within. ⠀

There was no other way of getting here than having to do the inner work and embarking on a healing journey. There’s been pain, tears, doubt, fear, anxiety, sadness, confusion, sorrow, despair, loneliness and darkness along the way but it’s been worth it all. I will never be able to articulate what it has taken in order to see and experience Waheguru’s light shining brightly in my life nor will I ever understand what I did to deserve His kirpa. He has shown me the truest form of unconditional love, loyalty, compassion and forgiveness.

I don’t know where I’m going and there is always going to be new lessons to learn and layers of healing to unravel but all I know is that God is leading, gifting me the resources along the way to manifest a life filled with great people, places, experiences and opportunities.

When I share my insights, what you read is the surface level reflection of the light from the blessings and lessons that have been gifted. In order to retrieve that, it takes me having to dig deep down to the depths of my soul to face and heal from past/present pain in life. It takes relentless hard work & perseverance and whilst I’m fortunate to be resilient, it gets so draining too but I can’t operate in any other way now and the rewards will always be priceless. If anyone else is on a similar journey, you will understand exactly why it becomes your default setting!

It’s been difficult to accept at times yet I’ve learned that you can only truly rely on yourself & God which has also brought with it so much freedom and peace. This doesn’t mean that you don’t need others but that you learn to trust that God will bring the right kind of people into your life who will restore, uplift and value you.

I know first-hand what it’s like to live in darkness, feel alone and to have people in your life unintentionally tear you down. Don’t let anyone make you question who you know yourself to be, others can tend to project their own issues on you without even realising and it’s not your place to take on their pain as your own.

There have been many times when I have felt like disappearing but it doesn’t matter where you go in this world you can’t run away from your own mind. It takes strength and courage to face your inner demons but it’s worth the struggle because one day you will experience that it can all be utilised to manifest your greatest blessings.

Turn your wounds into wisdom and your pain into purpose

As draining as it may be, let the tears flow and cleanse the lens you use to view life, it will offer a new perspective to drive you forward. It will be tiring and you will want to give up many times along the way but always remember there is a higher power ready to put you back together stronger than before, no matter how many times you fall apart.

Whenever you feel down, lost or alone in life, trust that it all has a bigger purpose than yourself. There are people that you are yet destined to meet that will need the wisdom and light you cultivate on your own journey to help lessen the burden they are carrying on theirs.

We are here to serve not be served, so when life knocks you down fight to get back up because your story of resilience will make a difference to others in some way. Stay in your own lane though because the people that God wants to help through you, will always cross your path on purpose.
